Genre Disrupters CLT DRP Return With New Single “TORX”; Kick Off New Tour Dates
Brighton-based feminist electro-punk trio CLT DRP have kicked off their 2022 with the frantic new single “TORX”. With this latest single, the trio are continuing to impress following their stellar 2020 debut Without The Eyes.
Commenting on the track, CLT DRP vocalist Annie Dorrett says: “TORX is a hard-hitting non-stop racket. It was a stream of consciousness that stemmed from a very tired & frustrating day where I couldn’t get my oven fixed in my flat because I didn’t have the right screwdriver and I was dealing with a sort of post-break-up rant about somebody that caused me a lot of grief. It’s one of my favourites to play live now.”
The bottled-up frustration comes out in a fever of guitars and percussion, as Dorrett weaves in her cool vocals before turning up the rage.
