Scottish Indie Pop Artist Katie Mackie Reflects On Past Loves With Intimate New Single “Nothing Without You”

Scottish indie pop artist Katie Mackie has shared her heartfelt new single “Nothing Without You”.

Lead by her intimate and warm vocals, “Nothing Without You” dives into the influential power experiences of past relationships can possess on new ones.

Speaking of the new track, Katie said: “I wrote the first verse at the end of 2019, but I struggled to emotionally connect with the song at first. I shelved it for a year and picked it back up again when lots of positive things were happening in my life. I like the contrast between the parts I wrote before and after a break from the song – it starts with a melancholic aura and then develops into this warm, comfortable experience. I think that’s quite relatable to everyone in some shape or form, noticing changes in attitude and perception when you revisit things throughout your life.”
