Neo-Classical Artist Olovson Shares Surreal Animated Video For “Epilogue”
Swedish neo-classical pianist Olovson enlisted along award-winning artist and animator Anna Budanova to create the stunning, charcoal-drawn visual for his new single “Epilogue”. Lifted from his upcoming album Storytelling, out March 4th via 1136 Diamond, “Epilogue” is a emotive and cinematic minimalistic piece that captures the authenticity and natural tones of the piano. Having made his start as one half of Grammy Award-winning production duo Jarami, Jacob Olofsson has successfully shifted gears into the world of post-classical.
Surrealism meets minimalism in Anna Budanova’s interpretation of “Epilogue”. Using charcoal and purposefully rough elements, the animated short swirls through ever-changing characters and settings, creating a sense of wonder and mystery.
Olovson shares his thoughts on the video: “I love Anna’s work and her style of using charcoal. It was a real pleasure watching this video come to life. In a surreal place where the snow falls and objects float, there’s only one person observing and orchestrating it all – the sorcerer.”
