Sibling Duo The Black Lilys Share Stunning New Music Video For “Invisible Strings”
Following on from the glittering response to their brilliant standalone single “Gymnopédie” last year, French sibling duo Black Lilys now make their euphoric return with the vibrant new offering “Invisible Strings”.
Filled with rich, ethereal electro-pop, the song channels the likes of Aurora and The XX to bridge together haunting vocals with ear-grabbing production. With a smooth and driven direction that slowly rises and grows with every chord, their newest release makes a strong impression for their forthcoming album New Era, out later this year.
Written in Scotland, where the siblings spent their isolation, New Era was inspired by the Highlands and rainy days, and they started to produce their new songs in Edinburgh, where Camille regularly lives, before finishing the recording process by the French mountains last winter.
“Invisible Strings” captures the expansive, moody environment of its conception, with hypnotic vocal layers and rhythmic percussion. As for its visual pairing, the accompanying music video highlights the song’s relationship to nature.
