Winnipeg-Based Hip-hop Artist Caid Jones Shares New Single “For The Game” & Accompanying Music Video

Cree-Irish hip hop producer and rapper Caid Jones has shared his new single “For the Game”. Featuring friends in his hometown of Winnipeg, the song and visual incorporate the gritty, yet loyal dynamic of his community.

About the video, Jones shares: “I wanted to be able to showcase the grittiness of Winnipeg with the visuals and also showcase the strong community presence we have. We asked random people around the city if they wanted to be involved in a short scene capturing their faces and almost everybody was willing to be a part of it. We wanted something fast paced and gritty and I think we did the perfect job capturing it”.

With its driving hook and Jones’ radiating confidence, “For the Game” is a strong offering from the rising artist. Leaning into his rising status, the music video showcases his investment into himself and music.

He continues: “The song itself brings passion as well as flair and combines them both in a way that still rings true to the old school principles of hip hop. I wanted to be able to have a little more fun with this one but still capture the essence/story behind my music and why I do what I do”.
