Quebec Artist Ingrid St-Pierre Shares Second Single “Petits Fruits” From New Instrumental Album

For Quebec singer-songwriter Ingrid St-Pierre, her fifth album Ludmilla was a step in an exciting new direction, holding onto her lush, gentle singer-songwriter style while embracing a more cinematic and stripped down appeal as an instrumental release. From the new album, out now, comes her latest single “Petits Fruits”, an ode to her childhood that captures the warmth and curiosity of summer vacation.

“When I was little, summer days were calculated according to the fruits we would collect: the end of school was strawberries, then raspberries, ferns, blueberries, apples with the start of classes. Each of the pickings was a period, a novel, a wonder”. [Translated]

The song’s narrative comes through on the instrumental track, as the delicate triplets of the piano provide a blanket for the acoustic guitar strums to break through and lead the way.
