Welsh Hardcore Act XL Life Share New Single “Just Do It”
Following the release of their 2020 standalone single ‘World Keeps Spinnin’ and the 2021 follow up ‘Noise,’ Welsh hardcore band XL LIFE have released their new single, ‘Just Do It.’ A motivational positivity anthem inspired by the drive and mentality of elite athletes, the track is a hard hitting, crashing release from the British four piece.
Commenting on the new single, frontman Traxx says: “The song to us is a soundtrack to the tenacity of sportspeople. The grit and determination to push your personal boundaries. We all workout in the band…we found ourselves listening to this song as a soundtrack to the push. A push to see what’s on the other side of the pain.”
The music video alternates between scenes of athletes in action across various settings and the band’s performance of the track – both elements visually highlighting the themes of dedication and persistence that the lyrics focus on. “It’s only now that I’ve just realised punk music is the perfect soundtrack to sport, whether it’s an Olympic compilation or a Rocky montage,” Traxx continues. Give me some beating riff underneath and ramped up drums and let’s run faster…Whatever it is you wanna achieve, let’s go get it!”
Alongside the single,, the band are pleased to announce a London headline date along with a handful of festival appearances. Full details below.
