Leeds Indie Rock Act Sea Legs Share New Single “Under the Weather”
Budding Leeds-based indie rock four-piece Sea Legs have shared their latest single “Under the Weather”. Incorporating the coolness of post-punk with the DIY charm of guitar-pop, the new single opens up to a bright chorus of ’70/’80s-tinged alternative. Nevertheless, the band stays true to the contemporary peers, bringing out a modern rush to the likes of Car Seat Headrest, Parquet Courts, and Porches.
About the song, frontman Tom Saunders shares: “I wanted to write a song that addressed the desire to be positive even if you’re struggling – to shake the idea that someone is choosing to be down, and emphasise that they would almost certainly rather be happy. I thought the chorus lyric was a nice poetic way of summing that up.”
