New York Indie Act Battle Ave Share Latest Single “I Saw The Egg” From Upcoming Album

With over six years between their last album Year of Nod and their forthcoming release I Saw The Egg, the Hudson-Valley based band have navigated fatherhood, graduate school, new members, and the cancer diagnosis of drummer Samantha Niss. Now, they’re ready for a reintroduction.

On the upcoming album’s title track, the group quickly re-establish their eccentric and textural indie rock style, moving between dreamy bedroom rock and shapeshifting avant-garde for a psychedelic and stimulating offering. Clocking in at a tight two minutes and essentially doubling as the thematic centerpiece of the album, “I Saw The Egg” touches on themes prevalent throughout Battle Ave’s forthcoming album: the questioning of goals and priorities, feelings of insecurity and jealousy, and a desire to be accepted by others.
