German Pop Artist LEEPA Reflects On What It Means To Be Family On New Single “Blood”
German indie pop artist LEEPA was inspired to write her new single “Blood” following a phone call with a close friend about a relative of theirs. The conversation flowed into the topic of co-dependency and toxic relationships, and how that relates to family. “It’s about a person who is very selfish”, she begins. “But you can’t just ice them out, because they play a key role in your life”.
Rich with influence from ’00s Avril Lavigne and her modern female pop peers, “Blood” showcases LEEPA’s glossy vocal power and melodic showmanship.
