James Chatburn Unveils New Single “Ok Ok (Be A Man)” From Upcoming Sophomore Album

Berlin-based Australian songwriter, vocalist and producer James Chatburn has shared the new single from his upcoming second album, titled “Ok Ok (Be A Man)”.

Expressive and sincere, the new single is a commanding exploration of masculinity and its shift in the modern world. Backed by Chatburn’s soulful and piercing vocals, the song’s message flows over subtle indietronica production and haunting piano chords.

Speaking about the new single, Chatburn explains: “For the last few years I have been challenging my views on masculinity and how I have perceived myself and other people based on what I had learnt growing up. It’s like looking to the men that you have grown up with, hang out with now, how we have grown, how we haven’t, and who can we really look up to as a role models. It was a just a coincidence that Shari had used me as a model for one of her photographs, it just represented so much, so perfectly in another medium.”
