Vancouver Singer-Songwriter Amanda Sum Shares New Single “New Age Attitudes” From Upcoming Debut Album

Since making her debut back in 2020 with her audiovisual release “Groupthink“, Vancouver singer-songwriter Amanda Sum has been carefully crafting her full-length debut album New Age Attitudes, which is set for release fall 2022. Joining the announcement is the album’s title track and lead single, “New Age Attitudes”.

Amanda, along with her all-female, all-Asian band, balance hook-driven indie rock with layered art-rock and poetic lyricism. Her pensive vocal quality merges effortlessly with the full-band arrangement and climactic finish. About the single, Amanda shares: “This song is trying to pinpoint what it is to live in this day and age; where all your choices and decisions seemingly come with such high stakes, where it feels like whatever move you make, someone warned you against it, and where you’re searching for little simple pleasures to ground yourself when moving through an impending existential crisis“.
