While the season for the timeless “summer fling” rolls around, Los Angeles-based indie pop artist iamnotshane has released his missed connection anthem “Maybe My Soulmate Died”. Built on a flowery guitar riff and bouncing pop beats, the new single balances the anxiousness of being single and the fleeting excitement of missed connections.

In his own words, iamnotshane shares: “Maybe My Soulmate Died” is about missed connections and the anxiety of being single. The plausibility that you missed out on experiencing your one true love because you didn’t step out of your comfort zone and take a risk.”
