Florida Rapper Moody LeVert Calls Out The Oppressors On New Single “1492” Alongside Masta Thom & Bazile
South Florida rapper/poet Moody LeVert has shared his latest single “1492”. Combining his lyrical talents with a commanding performance, the new release points a firm finger at the wrong-doers of history, overtop a choppy and gritty production.
About the song, Moody shares, “This song was an ode to the plight of the original inhabitants of the lands around the world. It talks about the struggles that they experience today while recounting the original cause of it”.
The trio take lead roles on respective verses, boasting strong wordplay alongside powerful imagery, before closing off the song with the stark statement of “why didn’t God step in and stop that?”
