Indietronica Artist Wooter Shares Psychedelic New Single “Epigraph”
Brooklyn-based songwriter/producer Rowan Brind, also known as Wooter, has shared his new single “Epigraph”. Intended to be enjoyed as an escape from the world, the chill psych-pop offering balances stimulating production with glossy, Gorillaz-style songwriting.
About the single, he shares: “‘Epigraph’ is music to help rid the stresses of life and find that 8th day of the week when you can do whatever you want and nothing is needed or expected of you. Tune in, turn it on, and drop out for two minutes and 44 seconds. This is music for those feeling disillusioned, going in circles, and now trying to break from the routine”.
Inspired by ideas after reading The Sun Also Rises, Brind felt the need to express in music the tone of the book, where the characters are living aimless lives and yet live happily unfazed by the world crumbling around them. Wobbly synthesizers and punchy textures give a futuristic and free-flowing aesthetic to the song, matching its inspiration and intention.
