Iranian-New Zealand artist Who Shot Scott has been busy putting out a handful of EPs and singles over the last two years or so, building a trajectory with his Mercy releases. Now onto the final chapter of the trilogy, Mercy III, Who Shot Scott has shared the first single with “Loners Anthem”
Leaning into the ’90s alternative rock scene and the underground UK garage scene, “Loners Anthem” is WSS’ most ambitious release to date, with its triumphant and energetic pulse leading the track forward as he balances vulnerability with party-starting charisma.
“This single deals with a lot of themes of self-reflection and acceptance of one’s flaws”, he shares. “I spent a big chunk of my life trying to run away from my imperfections, social anxiety, and my overall sensitive nature. I’m happy to say that I’m now finally in a place where I’ve matured enough to view these things as my superpowers as opposed to my short-comings.”
A wild mix of hip-hop, rock, and dance music, “Loners Anthem” will surely bring people together with its dynamite energy.
