Indie Folk Artist Melanie MacLaren Shares Spellbinding New Single “Orion”

New York-raised, Nashville-based indie folk singer-songwriter Melanie MacLaren recently put out her debut EP Kill My Time earlier this year. Having spent the last two years in the music hub of Nashville, the emerging artist has been honing her skills, developing her dreamy songwriting and lush vocals. Stepping into the next chapter of her career, MacLaren has shared her ethereal new single “Orion”.

Combining classic Americana influences with more contemporary singer-songwriters such as Phoebe Bridgers and Lucy Dacus in its roots, “Orion” is a star-gazing anthem about the bittersweet emotions that come from reminiscing of memorable nights. MacLaren’s elegant vocals effortlessly match her instrumental foundation of soothing acoustic guitar and shimmering synthesizers, offering a glossy, interstellar aesthetic.
