France’s Kwoon Will Make You Believe In Ghost Stories With Cinematic New Single “King Of Sea” Alongside Animated Short Film & Live Performance From Haunted Lighthouse
French singer-songwriter/post-rock artist Kwoon has returned following a nearly six-year hiatus. With a new album in the works, the musician has shared his new single “King of Sea”, alongside a mesmerizing animated music video based on a haunted lighthouse in Finistère.
The lighthouse of Tevennec sits in the Atlantic Ocean, and has developed a reputation among sailors as the “gateway to Hell”, as many strange and terrible phenomena have happened over the years. The mysterious location served as the setting for Kwoon’s live performance back in 2020, and he has returned to the place via the animated world of director Stéphane Berla. Telling the tale of an old sailor who discovers the portal to another world.
Kwoon’s cinematic post-rock style is an incomparable match for the beautiful storytelling, giving the song a deeper purpose and richer musicality.
