Barbadian Singer-Songwriter Ayoni Shares New Single “Before I Prosper” From Forthcoming ‘The Vision EP’

22-year-old Barbadian singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Ayoni has spent much of her life living in different continents, and has brought her multi-cultural experiences into her music. With her new EP The Vision EP on the way, the talented musician has shared her new single “Before I Prosper”.

“‘Before I Prosper’ is about the moment before the breakthrough, the valley before the peak, and the way that my darkest moments have often become my greatest testimonies”, Ayoni shares about the new single. “Every single second of this song means the absolute world to me and I think it is the best reflection of who I am right now out of any song that I have ever released.”

Incorporating equal parts of pop, and R&B, “Before I Prosper” is an attention-grabbing performance from the fast-rising artist. Her commanding vocals and cinematic musicality are the pillars of the song, as she holds nothing back.

“‘Before I Prosper’ is such an important breakthrough on this project”, Ayoni continues. “A victory lap in so many ways for me as a singer, as a producer, and as a storyteller, I really feel like this song breaks every mold and exists in a very singular space. I love how whimsical and ambitious this song is and how freely I master space on the record“.
