Post-Hardcore Math Rock Duo Alone I Stand Share Fiery New Performance Video “Celica, On Ice”
Hailing from Bloomfield, New Jersey comes math-core duo Alone I Stand. Incorporating the fast-paced guitar riffs and percussion of math rock with the emo stylings of post-hardcore, the pair have shared “Celica, On Ice”, the lead single from their newly released EP In Backgrounds.
Incorporating elements of The Sounds Of Animals Fighting, La Dispute, and Dance Gavin Dance, the pair frantically play through blistering riffs and raw vocal screams.
About the single, the band share:
“Told through the tale of an aspiring ice skater, ‘Celica, on Ice’ explores themes of self-doubt while striving to make something of yourself. I think the bare minimum we all need in order to work on our creative projects is a real support system, provided the passion is there of course. Show those passionate loved ones of yours all the support they need today, despite any hardships. It might be exactly what they need to succeed.”
