Brooklyn Singer-Songwriter Peter Wise Reflects On A Past Love With New Single “Easy”
Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Peter Wise has shared his new single “Easy”. Bridging his blues-tinged soulful vocals with melodic, approachable indie pop, Wise finds an uplifting vibrancy to reflect on the tribulations of a past relationship.
“‘Easy’ is a laidback summer anthem about a relationship between two people who overthink things, and the need to let past hang ups go”, Peter shares. With a glossy guitar solo a-la John Mayer, the catchy and expansive pop tune brings forth an introspective gentleness that is matched with a warm musicality and relatability.
Continuing about its origins, Peter adds:
“I wrote it a couple of years ago while reflecting on a previous relationship. It was a song that had fallen out of favor with me, but I revisited it this fall while in a similar headspace, and connected with it in a new way. I spent this last couple of months studying how to make records and diving deeper into production, and this song I feel like is the culmination of everything I’ve learned about music production and mixing. I feel like it’s the perfect time to release this song as it’s the ideal song to soundtrack everyone’s summer“.
