Atlanta Mathcore Act The Callous Daoboys Deliver Cult-Like Fury With New Music Video “The Elephant Man In the Room”
Atlanta-based mathcore collective The Callous Daoboys are inching closer to their September 2nd release date for Celebrity Therapist, their highly anticipated full-length. Just days away, the band have shared the exhilarating new single and video “The Elephant Man In The Room”.
Bridging Southern churchgoing with horror-cult tropes, the accompanying music video is a perfect pair for the somewhat quirky hardcore single. Jumping rhythms and spine-tingling screams give the djent style a push forward, as the band – comprised of vocalist Carson Pace, guitarists Maddie Caffrey and Dan Hodsdon, bassist Jack Buckalew, drummer Sam Williamson, and violinist Amber Christman – use their full-band arrangement to its fullest potential.
Fans of The Dillinger Escape Plan, The Number Twelve Looks Like You, and Job For A Cowboy will be blown away by the band’s knack for creating gut-busting metalcore and ear-pleasing math-rock. Not to mention, the dark humour music video shares a touch of their personality, as Pace gives his best church band leader performance.
