INTRODUCING: Multi-Instrumentalist Marc Apollonio Debuts New Solo Project With “Moonta Bay”

For singer-songwriter Marc Apollonio, the last few years have been met with solitude, loss, and gripping internal conflict. OCD, a divorce, and COVID lockdown piled high atop one another; but it was at this precipice he found himself again and returned to making music. Debuting his new musical project as Apollonio, Marc and close friend/producer Mark Andrade brought his new single “Moonta Bay” to life.

Recounting the trip to Australia that was the catalyst to his divorce, the new single marriages dark alt-pop and striking electronic influences for a maximalist production.

“Just before the pandemic hit, my wife and I took a roadtrip through rural Australia, near her hometown. One particular leg of the trip stands vividly in my memory, bright and happy. But suddenly – days later – our marriage came to an end”, Apollonio shares. “In the time since, I’ve struggled to come to terms with our breakup“.
