Indie Rock Group SeepeopleS Share Animated Music Video For New Single “Shame”

With 22 years as a band, Portland, Maine-based indie rock group SeepeopleS have produced five full length albums and 2 EPs, spending their time writing music on their terms. Self-described “anti-genre indie pranksters”, the band have found a balance between tongue-in-check concepts with catchy DIY riffs. With their sixth full-length Field Guide For Survival In This Dying World due October 7th, the band have shared their latest single “Shame”.

Exploring the difficult topics of anxiety, violence, and the death of childhood, the song’s moving and melancholic chord progressions complement the animated music video. Working with Pete List once again, SeepeopleS and List combine their strengths for the imaginative and moving visual piece. Impactful and striking, “Shame” is a strong social commentary about school violence and the irreversible consequences of loss of innocence.
