Halifax Indie Folk Artist Braden Lam Unveils Second Chapter Of Love Story Video Series With “white dress”
Halifax-based indie folk artist Braden Lam recently launched his two-part video series with the single and video for “Don’t Let Go”. Building on the tale of unrequited love and complicated relationships, Lam has given the story some closure with the heavy-hearted second chapter “white dress”.
About the narrative, Lam shares, “We pick up the story a little later, when the main character has been invited to their ex’s wedding. They drive up to the church in their beloved red car and contemplate going inside. Conflicted, they spring into a choreographed dance full of tension and emotion before their ex appears like a ghost for a “last dance”. The song is a grieving of what’s been lost: love that was never reciprocated. Now, after being released from the power held over them, they can commit to a way forward without that person in their life“.
With a captivating folk-pop melody at the forefront, Lam builds an emotional journey with his story, both sonically and visually. Fans of The Head & the Heart and The Lumineers should spend their time getting to know Braden Lam’s voice.
