New Zealand Singer-Songwriter Sam Heselwood Honours His Mother With New Ballad “Book Full Of Answers”

New Zealand-based singer-songwriter Sam Heselwood has shared his new single “Book Full of Answers”. Drawing comparisons to the likes of Lewis Capaldi, Dean Lewis, and Dermot Kennedy, the delicate piano ballad pays tribute to his mother. His commanding vocals provide the vessel for his words, as he paints a picture of his mother’s successes and angelic qualities.

“My mother is an amazing woman who built multiple business from the ground up”, Sam shares. “She has supported me and my sister with everything and anything we have done growing up and managed to put us both through private school by her self. She lost her father a while back and it was at a time where her marriage had fallen apart as well, its fair to say she had every right to crumble at that point but she didn’t. Its hard writing a song for someone that deserves so much more than words, this one took me the longest to write and I ended up writing about 3 full drafts that didn’t feel like they had done enough justice so they got scrapped.”
