German Alt-Rock Group Liotta Seoul Share Punchy New Single & Video For “Won’t You Love Me”
Liotta Seoul have released the music video for their latest single, “Won’t You Love Me”. This release follows the German alt-rock trio’s previously released single “Star,” both taken from their upcoming album, WORSE.
“Won’t You Love Me” is a solid nu-grunge piece, with numerous pop culture references and a video that explores violence and fire. The track’s title is a false lead: rather than being about unrequited love as it suggests, it’s actually about not being able to cope with love itself, the inability to connect with your emotions and knowing that you’re loved even though you don’t feel loved.
About the single, vocalist Sven Int-Veen says: “‘Stan’ from Eminem, the love story of Pam and Jim in ‘The Office’, the death of Uncle Ben in every ‘Spider-Man’ story…my whole life, all those relationships had a bigger impact on my emotions than my own.” Classic pop-rock and brimming with drums and grunge guitar, “Won’t You Love Me” is another strong preview into what listeners can expect from the new album.
With a classic feel, the music video packs just as much punch as the song itself. Alternating between Int-Veen and the female protagonist, it features dark lit streets and cinematic shots as the storyline plays out. “The video was inspired by Wong-Kar Wai’s “Fallen Angels”, Nicolas Winding Refn’s “Too Old To Die Young” and the Madonna Music video for “Do You Know What It Feels Like For A Girl”’ by Guy Ritchie,” shares Int-Veen.
New album WORSE will be released 25th November 2022 via KROD Records.
