Vancouver Art-Pop Artist Ché Aimee Dorval Unveils New Single “Loveless” From Upcoming LP ‘The Crowned’

Vancouver-based art-pop artist Ché Aimee Dorval is set to release her new album The Crowned on January 19th. Now onto her third single from the upcoming project, Dorval has shared “Loveless” and its visual accompaniment.

“Loveless is about giving your love over quickly and readily,” says Ché. “Loving without the expectation of having it returned. I think it’s honourable to give over love easily to anyone, even with the dangers that can come from that. Maybe it’s not even a choice. Maybe you either acknowledge your love or you don’t, but it’s there either way. This song explores the feeling of being compelled to love a person who has nothing to give in return.

In conjunction with the music video, “Loveless” is a compelling audiovisual journey, showcasing Ché’s dynamic vocal abilities, and the genre-fluid capabilities of her songwriting. Twinkling synthesizers and lush guitar tones provide a foundation for Ché to open up on each chorus. The flowing spirit of the song is matched in the visualizer through sheets taking on new shape and direction in the wind.

  1. Ché is outstanding in everything she does, and it is high time the mainstream recognizes her and give her the major breakthrough she deserves.
