Vancouver Alt-Pop Artist young friend Shares Latest Cut “little pieces”

Following the growing success of his 2022 album HOW DID WE GET HERE? under the moniker young friend, Vancouver-born indie singer-songwriter Drew Tarves ended the year with his new single “little pieces”. Capturing his melancholic, coming-of-age sound, the emerging musician switches gears, stepping into more bedroom pop style for the latest offering.

Weighted instrumentation and reflective vocals give a warm depth to his sound, as he refuses to shy away from being sentimental. About the song, he shares, “little pieces is a grand & heartfelt song that reflects on past relationships and how even though that person is no longer around, you still find yourself participating in their habits and mannerisms.”
