London 8-Piece Rum Buffalo Tease Upcoming Album With New Single “Spark Dreamer”

London-based alternative rock 8-piece Rum Buffalo have shared their new single “Spark Dreamer”, the latest contribution to their forthcoming album Bloodmoon. Led by vocalist Jake Stevens, the band use their size to their advantage, crafting dense and textured alternative rock songs that use rhythm and riffs to captivate listeners.

Their new single “Spark Dreamer” is no exception, with a driving percussion section pushing the track forward, as mystery and narrative seep into its spirit – not a surprise as the band try to maximize the influence of their live shows. “Often in those very infectious moments where you’re performing to a crowd, and the crowd is performing to you, there is this kind of punk, evil vibe”, Stevens shares. “We come from this place of performing live on a big scale. People want to move like they’re in some kind of crazy story.”

Inspired by a fan’s idea of a character who wakes up without their creativity and spends their entire life searching for it in vain, the song’s dark qualities intersect with dance-forward rock.
