San Antonio Metalcore Act Mourning Sun Share New Single “Spineless”
San Antonio-based metalcore band Mourning Sun have shared their new single “Spineless”, the focus track from their recently released EP Second Skin.
In true metalcore fashion, the track is a blistering and emotionally-drive release that came to be after a turbulent friendship. Vocalist/lyricist Jerecho Barrera shares, “Spineless confronts the fake people in all of our lives who are supposed to be there for you but never are. Finally pissed off by my own friends telling me I was spineless, I decided to write them a message with this song.”
Heavy djent guitar riffs and unwavering vocals give the modern metalcore track its weight, as influences from The Devil Wears Prada, I Prevail, and Like Moths To Flames come to mind.
