New Zealand Alt-Pop Artist B O K E H Shares New Music Video For “Simple Little Things” Featuring Ruuth & Lex Leosis
New Zealand-born, Berlin-based indie alt-pop artist B O K E H has shared her new music video for “Simple Little Things”, featuring fellow vocalist Ruuth and a rap verse Lex Leosis.
Lifted from her upcoming album room 42 due this summer, “Simple Little Things” is a dreamy ode to opening up about romantic feelings, and acknowledging the doubts and insecurities that come with it.
Influenced by ’90s R&B and minimal pop, the track creates a spacious and weightless soundscape for B O K E H’s vocals to float across, rounded out by Ruuth and an international feature from Toronto rapper Lex Leosis.
About the song, B O K E H shares, “The song is about someone not being upfront with their feelings, although you have. It’s about the desire to open up and share these feelings, but also the doubt that comes with doing so, from all sides, due to the fear of it all being lost. It’s the classic story about the struggles of making a causal relationship into something more safe and committed“.
Alongside the track, B O K E H shares her self-directed music video, mirroring the subtle vintage tones of the song.
