Chicago Indie Funk Artist Mathien Shares Introvert Anthem “I hate the nightlife”

Chicago-based funk artist Mathien has shared his new single “I hate the nightlife”. The perfect anthem for introverts, homebodies, and people just not in the mood, the groovy and soulful track is a fun response to the feeling of wanting to be at home.

“Once I was at a club and I was really tired and wanted to go home and ‘I love the nightlife’ by Alicia Bridges came on”, Mathien shares. “I really felt as if the song was taunting me. I finally headed home and when I woke up the next morning, I recorded “I hate the nightlife”, my first ever “answer song”.

Elaborating further on the spirit of the track, he adds, “I am releasing this on my 38th birthday and I couldn’t think of a better age to drop a washed, tired and want to go to bed early anthem“.
