NYC Indie Pop Artist Olivia Reid Shares Euphoric New Single “Runner’s High”
Ahead of her upcoming EP, New York-based indie pop artist Olivia Reid has shared her new single “Runner’s High”. Blending euphoric electro-pop production with dreamy, atmospheric textures, the new release delves into the feeling of balancing a strong drive and self-care. “’Runner’s High’ describes the way I’ve conditioned myself to be a workhorse,” explains Reid. “A product of growing up in America, I guess.”
Influenced by the likes of Sylvan Esso, Bon Iver, and Norah Jones, the lush production elevates Reid’s soft vocals, bringing to life the song’s inspiration. “This song feels like that moment when I’m sprinting, and my legs finally seem to move faster than my thoughts. My mind is free. At that point, the high, the bliss – feels earned – and it’s most definitely addicting,” says Reid.
