Emo Pop-Punk Act Four Stars Take A Trip For New Video “A High Tide Lifts All Ships”
Midwestern emo pop-punk act Four Stars have shared their new single and video “A High Tide Lifts All Ships”. Inspired by bands such as Free Throw, Yellowcard, and Hot Mulligan, the energizing and catchy single provides a much-needed optimistic outlook in what can be a defeating industry.
“‘High Tide’ is a song about working hard on something and not knowing if you want to continue with it because comparison is the thief of joy”, the band shares. “Sometimes life gets difficult or very expensive, which can be discouraging for emerging artists because it is easy to beat yourself up about not being where you want to be. This song is a reminder that when you support those around you, you are benefiting the greater good, which in turn will benefit you. So if you ever feel helpless, helping someone around you will more than likely help you feel better too“.
Exchanging melodrama for uplifting pop-punk, the track is joined by a fun and psychedelic music video as the band push their sound into new directions.
“This song is one of our most creatively abstract and progressive songs, so we wanted the video to reflect that”, Four Stars add. “For the video, we brought back Director Mike Rumchaks to help out. In the video, singer Aida ingests what he believed to be a non-medicated piece of banana bread but was accidentally given the wrong bag by bassist Danny. From there, the chaos and hilarity that ensues is something to be experienced with your own eyes“.
