Indie Singer-Songwriter Elora Shares New Single “Embers” From Upcoming Album ‘Pitfall’
Fast-rising indie singer-songwriter Elora is gearing up to release her label debut record Pitfall later this year via Paper Moon Records. Introducing herself with the psych-pop hit “Gullible”, the emerging artist has returned with her glossy new single “Embers”. Written about the downfall of a friendship, the song finds a familiar resemblance to the likes of Julia Jacklin, Big Thief, and Weyes Blood.
Glowing psych-rock guitars and muted drums splash the foundation of the track, while her angelic vocals tell her story.
“As hurt as I was by what happened, it wasn’t easy for me to move on. I found myself deeply missing someone I knew had been a bad friend“, Elora shares. “Around this time I also became obsessed with two-chord pop songs and riffs that would get stuck in your head and make you want to move. This is the first time I was able to write something like that and I was introduced to a part of myself I had never met. After that, every song was in search of that same feeling. I started writing to let go of all the things I was holding on to.”
