Dutch Alt-Pop Artist Leah Rye Shares Lead Single “Growing Into Me” From Upcoming Debut Album
Ahead of her debut album, Dutch alt-pop artist Leah Rye has shared her heartfelt and personal lead single “Growing Into Me”. Built on a foundation of a delicate piano melody and cinematic synth production, the song makes room for Rye’s voice to lead the way, as she sings about finding herself and being comfortable in her identity.
About the song’s meaning, Leah shares, “It’s a song about development into womanhood, slowly getting to know yourself better and growing into your own skin. It [was] released on my birthday, which feels like a full circle as the video starts with footage of my 4th birthday in 2000. To me, this song means the body of my upcoming album, and the body of myself as an artist and person.”
The song’s gradual sonic evolution weaves together with Leah’s performance, finding a striking and organic energy.
