Indie Pop Artist James Hersey Finds The Silver Lining On Uplifting Anthem “Let It Shine”

Indie pop singer-songwriter James Hersey released his new full-length album Let It Shine this past week. His latest single is the collection’s title track, and its anthemic spirit contributes to its stand-out status. Written as a song about remembrance and recovery, Hersey shares, “[it’s] a token of rembrance for lost friends, and my mantra for getting out of depression”.

His bright vocals and catchy songwriting bring a balance of summer melancholy, hiding a sense of optimism between the minor chords. Groovy, spirited, and uplifting, “Let It Shine” is a simple reminder to keep above water, stamped with a bold guitar solo to round it out.
