Due in Spring 2024, the release is set to expand on her glowing and personal folk-pop songwriting style, reaching back into her experiences to fuel her creativity. From the release is the latest single “Back To Being Friends”, a catchy and vulnerable offering about hoping to find peace following an unexpected breakup with a friend-turned-lover.
About the song, Cinzia shares: “Back to Being Friends is a song I wrote when I was heartbroken, but had nothing but love for this person. It’s a song for anyone who’s trying to get back to a sense of normalcy following a tough breakup because you don’t want to lose someone. It was a very difficult song to write that took over a year. I recorded myself at home, then brought it to [my producer] Luca Liberatore to the studio, and went back and forth on whether we’d release it because it felt so personal I was almost scared. But it just felt right, and my listeners make me feel comfortable enough to be that vulnerable”.
Blending the likes of Maisie Peters, Florence + the Machine, and Carly Rae Jepsen into her folk songwriting, “Back To Being Friends” boasts a welcomed sense of confidence and glowing invigoration to heal a broken heart.
