Copywrite – Philophobia
Australian indie rock group Copywrite are still fairly young; their upcoming album A Heart of Glass was started when they were 16 and then finished a year after graduating high school. But they’ve embraced their naivety and adolescent experiences:
“The record is extremely personal to us, truly our “high school” record. Occassionaly making us cringe in it’s pure honesty”.
Recorded entirely from home, their August 11th release is preceded by their debut single “Philophobia”. Meaning the fear of love, the song deals with the hesitation and daunting change that falling in love can bring especially at their age and stage in life. Although the band members are hardly in their 20s, they are still able to create a mature and dense sound in their DIY-pop rock.
