Canadian singer-songwriter Mark Lenover released his latest record We’re In Motion Pictures last summer (stream it here), discussing the negative elements of mass-marketing and consumer culture. Now the dark-pop artist has released the music video for the album’s lead single “Ghosts Walk in Dreams”.
Mastered and animated by longtime friend and collaborator David Disher, the hauntingly minimalist video uses moving paintings to tell a story of a ghost and his former wife as the latter travels past purgatory to their shared grave.
“Ghosts Walk in Dreams” draws in elements of art pop and horror-film soundtracks to create a mesmerizing, yet spine-chilling track – like a child’s music box that begins to play on its own accord.
