Since releasing his 2015 For the Town EP, Canadian hip-hop artist SonReal has been making a steady run for the top with his hits “Whoa Nilly”, “Preach”, and “Everywhere We Go”. The Vancouver native is currently touring in support of East Coast rapper Classified, and while on the road, SonReal has released his latest single “SOHO” which will be on his future album release and premiered on Noisey.
Produced by POPS (the mind behind some of the best tracks from Freddie Gibbs and The Game), the new single turns SonReal’s usually playful hip-hop style into an operatic and dramatic delivery.
The crushing power from the popular trap hip-hop genre makes an appearance, with SonReal sounding with an uncanny resemblance to Drake and a hint of Childish Gambino.
