Montreal hardcore post-punk trio Big Knife Little Knife have been gradually making some traction in the Canadian indie music scene. Since their 2015 debut Too Many Words EP, and the release of the live video for their debut single “Circumlocution“, Big Knife Little Knife have been working on releasing a full-length album of their abrasive, yet melodic post-punk. Set to hit shelves on April 29th, Anchor Rights is a 9-track collection of dense rhythms and stimulating energy.

From the upcoming release is their second single “A Certain Degree”, – and Dusty Organ has your exclusive premiere of the accompanying adrenaline-junky music video.

A muddy, rigorous opening of distorted guitar and bass, backed by hammering percussion ignite the song’s spark before lead singer/bassist David Tkach lets out his piercingly raw vocals, cutting “A Certain Degree” into a jagged fragment of dance-punk and post-punk.

In tandem with the song’s gritty, blood-pumping spirit, the video returns to the early beginnings of film, reaching into the “Universal Pictures Corp.” archives and grabbing hold of old footage from a plane-climbing stunt.

Enjoy the video below, and head to their bandcamp page for more music and to pre-order a copy of Anchor Rights.
