Sam Roberts Band – If You Want It
Montreal alternative rock icon Sam Roberts and his band have announced he will be releasing his seventh studio album later this year. The Sam Roberts Band showed a slightly new edge with their 2014 album Lo-Fantasy, with slicker, more pensive production and tinges of psychedelia blended into their famous rock n’ roll flavour. Sam Roberts Band have shared their new single “If You Want It”, and if it is a clear sign of what the rest will hold, the new album should feel like a continuation of Lo-Fantasy.
Bouncing piano melodies, toe-tapping rhythms, and Roberts’ signature vocals provide a nod to his older work, but eventually leans back towards his more contemporary stylistics.
