Wolf Parade – Forest Green

Montreal indie rock favourites Wolf Parade have announced today they will be releasing their fifth full-length LP Thin Mind on January 24, 2020. The album will be their second full-length since returning from a five year hiatus in 2016.

From the upcoming release is their latest single “Forest Green”, a colourful, synth-heavy indie rock track about the beauty and weirdness of Vancouver Island – the place where the album was recorded, and the hometown of guitarist Dan Boeckner.

“The island has a really weird, pervasive darkness to it,” explains drummer Arlen Thompson. “It’s got amazing nature, and there’s an inescapable spiritual vibe to the place. But it’s held with this tension between real estate money and nature now constantly being logged and developed. It’s a process that’s been happening for maybe 150 years—you’re watching this beautiful place just kind of melt.”
