Lawrence – It’s Not All About You
New York indie soul-pop Lawrence outfit are taking the music world by storm, all the while staying humble, true to themselves, and absolutely irresistible. Since their 2016 debut album Breakfast, the group lead by siblings Gracie and Clyde Lawrence have been releasing energetic and hook-covered soul-pop tracks that are both flourishing and easy-listening.
After avoiding the “sophomore slump” entirely with their 2018 follow-up album Living Room, the NYC 8-piece have shared even more new music ahead of their upcoming North American tour.
The new single “It’s Not All About You” stays true to their piano-forward soul music, and puts the heaven-reaching vocals of Gracie front and centre. It has everything a solid soul-pop song needs: bounce, funk, and an upbeat attitude about something crappy and relatable.
