Mac Miller – Good News

After passing away in September 2018, Mac Miller left behind his fifth album Swimming, which was released a month prior to his untimely death. Fans were left with his discography to mourn and look back on his career.

However, Miller’s family has surprised the music world with their decision to release his sixth and final studio album. Circles will be released next Friday, January 17th, and from the release is the lead single “Good News”.

Since transitioning from his college rap days, Miller continued his more R&B, singer-songwriter centred sound on Swimming and fans of the album will find the new Circles similarly appealing, introspective, and vulnerable.

“Good News” is a six and a half minute trip, through nostalgic clips of Miller floating through an animated series of worlds. The song’s pensive and laid-back sound makes for a fitting lead single for a post-humous release.

For fans living in Pittsburgh, L.A., or New York, there are pop-up exhibitions to celebrate the music of Mac Miller. Launched in partnership with Amazon Music, the exhibitions will feature immersive, intimate, front-to-back listenings of Circles in Ultra HD audio, as well as a multimedia fan art exhibition and exclusive new Circles merch offerings. Entry is free and all net proceeds from pop up merchandise sales will go to The Mac Miller Fund.
