Go for Gold – Let Me Go (Music Video)

Like many niche genres, pop-punk has a loyal fanbase, and one that seems to inherently find its way into the hearts of young, up-and-coming generations. To quote the movie Dazed and Confused, “I get older, they stay the same age” (yes, I’m aware it is from a very different context).

Freshly signed to pop-punk label InVogue Records, the young Arkansas five-piece Go For Gold have shared their new music video for “Let Me Go”. The power-pop sound of the band is heavily inspired by early 2000s bands, such as Taking Back Sunday and All Time Low, on the new single – but if it works, why fix it?

With a catchy hook, angsty energy, and plenty of potential, Go For Gold are heading in the right direction for a genre that seems to be stuck in its prime (in a good way).
