KID DAD Lose Control With Their New Video for “A Prison Unseen” Off Upcoming Debut LP
German indie rock band KID DAD have recently announced their debut album In A Box will be out August 21st. Inspired by their travels and the world around them, the young four-piece their upcoming release is an intricate and detailed first step for the band, years in the making.
From the release is the powerful new single “A Prison Unseen”. Written about loss of control and a lack of self-restraint, the song plays with the idea through focused verses before unleashing a barrelling chorus of ” it’s too bright to hide / blind my senses” leading the way, swinging the pendulum of intensity back and forth throughout the track.
Sharing musical influences with heavier genres such as post-hardcore and emo-pop punk, KID DAD maintain a cleaner aesthetic, instead displaying their intensity and aggression through intricate arrangements and blaring choruses, juxtaposed against the sweeping, ’90s Radiohead-esque verses. This mismatched soundscape is what gives the young band their unique and captivating presence.
