Max Apollo Rises To the Occasion With New Single “Pressure”
Swiss pop rock artist Timo Meier, better known as MAX APOLLO, released his debut album two years ago, and the 23 year old has no signs of slowing down. After releasing the single “Plain White Shirt” earlier this year, Meier and his band have shared the anthemic, gospel-infused pop tune “Pressure”.
Meier opens up about the song’s meaning:
“To be caught up in routine, dwelling in cycles of repetition, accompanied by the static feeling of remaining stagnant – we all know this. Especially now, in a time when we are all urged to spend a lot of time at home. ‘Pressure’ is an ode to this routine, but even more to breaking out of it. Starting as an inert mantra of enduring everyday routine – resulting in an auditive unleashing.”
Meier certainly unleashes on “Pressure”, delivering a powerfully raw vocal performance, all the while bringing out his tenacity as a musician and songwriter. Arena-sized pop rock melodies and full band instrumentation takes the new single to new heights as he holds nothing back.
